Inc. announced today the successful launch of a new eCommerce site for the
Professional Supplement Center. The new eCommerce site, built
using the Microsoft .Net framework, replaces an older site deployed using an open-source shopping cart.
"We love the new admin portal - the rich interface makes it easy for us to manage customers, orders ... the full workflow
for both online and phone orders through a single portal." said Sheri Davis, President.
The Administrative portal for the new web site was built using Adobe's Flex-II to attain a rich user interface. Ease of use
is combined with sophisticated features to enable multi-site administration, order management/processing, and numerous
merchandising and promotions capabilities like cross-selling, coupons, and product categories/subcategories.
The inclusion of back-office functionality for order processing and fulfillment was a natural according to
Steve Terry, President of Triact: "Our extensive background in WMS
and ERP integration made the addition of order processing and shipping system integration a natural extension of
typical eCommerce offerings."
Professional Supplement Center (PSC) is a web-based retailer of nutritional supplements, founded by the Family Pharmacy of
Sarasota, FL to better serve their patients. PSC has expanded its product offerings over the past seven years and now
offers customers 3700 products from 120 brands. Customers can order online, or by telephone, as PSC welcomes hearing from
their customers. Orders ship within two days of receipt, and customers can create standing orders for regular shipments
